Landing “What inspires this” links to https://portfolio.differentthandefault.com/. Do not recreate /people as a separate gallery. /people and /people/:slug 301 to the portfolio subdomain. Profile content lives in config/portfolios.json + scripts/sync-portfolios.js only.
Status: Accepted
Context: DTD Portraits (/people) duplicated the portfolio gallery and added an extra click between homepage and profiles.
Decision: Retire the Portraits hub; portfolio subdomain is the single people gallery. Keep legacy /people URLs as permanent redirects.
Consequences: Update landing, sitemap/llms.txt, and social build sources accordingly. sync-portraits.js is a no-op.
